Paige + Jake
Paige & Jake’s wedding was the kind that doesn’t just photograph well, it actually ~feels~ well. The day was personal, emotional, and insanely joyful. The pair met 18 years ago back in middle school, and in her vows, Paige called Jake her first and last crush. It wasn’t said for effect, it was said with a soft certainty of someone who has truly loved him for a long time. They learned to sew just so they could hand embroider each guest’s name onto linen napkins for the reception; an intimate, time consuming detail just for the people they love most, and that was what it was all about: the people and the slow moments. They told me early on that they didn’t want the day to be about the photos, they wanted the photos to be about their day. And that set the tone for how I documented it. I stepped back, and I let things unfold. It was an intentional, emotional, and honest wedding. Enjoy!
