Morgan + Vasco

Morgan and Vasco’s story began over ten years ago in a little bar in Amsterdam. While studying abroad at the University of Cambridge, Morgan spontaneously booked a $40 flight to Amsterdam with a few girlfriends, never imagining she’d meet the person she would one day marry in a pub there. In Morgan’s words, she was immediately charmed by Vasco’s “quiet confidence, voice, and sexy dancing skills.” What started as a chance encounter turned into a weekend together, followed by years of love letters, long-distance calls, and finding ways to be together across continents. Vasco proposed during a beautiful hike in Utah in September 2024. After more than a decade of finding their way to one another, they finally settled into life together in Washington, D.C. There’s something so special about a love story that has unfolded across so many countries, seasons, and versions of life. This engagement session at The National Gallery of Art was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful things in life begin when we least expect them.
